What Do I Need- Short Term
If you are coming to visit us,
you can expect South Africa to be very much a marriage of the
first and third world. If you are packing, pack as if you are
going on any other trip or vacation where you will be spending
some time outdoors. You DO NOT need special shots to enter the
country. Remember that you will be with us for only a short time,
but you should not forget your personal items such as a camera,
special vitamins, or particular books.
Because South Africa is a popular tourist destination, travel
to the country is typically done without many complications.
If you are coming to the country for less than six months, then
you do not need a visa from the South African embassy. The only
thing that you will need is a round-trip ticket that you can
